Respin
We copy its public pages, check every one, and rebuild it as a fast, modern site. Your content stays. Your old address can point to the new one.

Respin the old. Spin up the new.
For small businesses, clubs and societies: we rebuild your old website so it looks fresh, works on every phone and does more, keeping all your content. No website yet? Bring an idea, a PDF or some photos and we will build one.
Two ways in
You have a site
We copy its public pages, check every one, and rebuild it as a fast, modern site. Your content stays. Your old address can point to the new one.
See how a respin runsYou have an idea
Bring what you have: notes, photos, a spreadsheet, a list of pages, sites you like. We build the site, add a simple editor if you want one, set up the domain and hosting, and design a logo if you need one. It works on a phone, built the same way as the rebuilds below.
See how a spin up runsEither way, we look at it for free and give you a fixed quote. Our first spin up is Abbots Langley High Street, below, made from a society’s PDF booklet. Skip to the finished work.
Process
We copy every public page and image of your old site. We do not need your logins or any access to your hosting.
We check nothing went missing, using the old site's own totals. If something is wrong, we tell you rather than guess.
We design a new look for your subject, then add what your visitors need to do, such as searching, finding places on a map or reading without a signal.
We set up the domain and hosting for you, and visitors using the old address can be sent to the new one automatically. If you want to change things yourself, you get a simple editor, and your changes go live on their own.

Before and after

BeforeAfter
The old Earthsea pages were about twice as wide as a phone screen, so you had to scroll sideways. Now every page fits.
One old Earthsea page opened 797 pop-up windows. Now every entry is a normal page you can bookmark or share.
The old photo archive showed an empty search box until you typed. Now all 514 photos are on the first page.

What we can add
Every feature below already runs on a live site. Choose a project to see which ones it uses. A new site can use any of them.
Results appear as you type. Try it on the real list of 1003 Earthsea entries.
Loading the names…
Optional. If you would like to fix text and photos yourself, we add a simple editor to your site. If not, you do not need one.
With the optional editor, every change is saved with who made it and when, so any mistake can be undone.
Pins come from the place names you already have, and each one says how exact it is.
After one visit, the whole compendium works with no connection.
Follows the device setting. Try it on this page.
Links to other sites are checked every three months. A broken one becomes plain text with its old address, so no visitor lands on an error page.
Each image comes with the context its site needs: dates, places and sources, captions, or similar photos suggested automatically.
Images and content readers can drag, filter and explore, such as old and new views of one building side by side, or photos by decade.
We design each site around its content, not from a template.
Only what your visitors will actually use.
Nothing that needs regular upgrades to keep working.
Each rebuild so far runs on a free plan, with no payment card.
